Holebifilmfestival takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. 
In this privacy statement we want to provide clear and transparent information about how we handle personal data. We make every effort to ensure your privacy and therefore handle personal data with care. Holebifilmfestival is in all cases subject to applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 
This implies that we at least:

• process your personal data in accordance with the purpose for which they were provided, these goals and type of personal data are described in this Privacy Statement;
• limit to ask for your personal data as minimally required for the purposes for which they are processed;

Your personal details are processed by Holebifilmfestival for the following purposes and legal grounds:

• to participate in the activities or contests of Holebifilmfestival and Holebikort;
• sending newsletters and invitations;
• sending invoices

For the above purposes, we may request and process the following personal data from you:

• Personal identity details: name, first name, address, telephone number, email address
• VAT number

We use the collected data only for the purposes for which we obtained the data.

We may provide the information you give to us to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the above described purposes. 
For example, we use a third party for:

• taking care of the internet environment (web hosting);
• taking care of and distributing newsletters and invitations.
• recruiting advertising

We, of course, make the necessary arrangements with these parties to ensure the security of your personal data. 
We never pass on personal data to other parties with whom we have not entered into a processor agreement. 
Furthermore, we will not pass on the information you provide to third parties unless this is legally required and permitted.
We do not provide personal data to parties which are located outside the EU.

Holebifilmfestival does not store personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was provided or required by law. 
In any case, the data will not be stored for longer than 5 years.

We have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unlawful processing, for example we have taken the following measures:

• All persons who have access to your your details on behalf of Holebifilmfestival are obliged to maintain their confidentiality;
• We use a username and password policy on all our systems;
• We make back-ups of the personal data in order to be able to repair these in case of physical or technical incidents;
• Our volunteers have been informed about the importance of the protection of personal data.

You have the right to inspect and right to correct or delete the personal data that we have received from you. At the top of this privacy statement is how you can contact us. 
You can also object to the processing of your personal data (or a part thereof) by us or by one of our processors. 
You also have the right to have the data provided by you transferred by us to yourself or by order of you directly to another party. We can ask you to identify you before we can comply with the aforementioned requests.

You always have the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commission, this is the supervisory authority in the field of privacy protection.
